Communities Around The World Homepage is dynamic. The revolving pictures are interesting to watch and explore. I also like seeing the pictures at the heading of the page representing the three basic communities. Photographs are well chosen. My only suggestion is bolding the words urban, rural, and suburban. So they participate in the Why Participate Heading. Also consider putting children's art of communities alongside photography so your website feels more elementary.
Why Participate page has an interesint video that helps ensure the message of the website.
Submission page is well-organized. My only question is that students or teachers could only submit pictures not illustrations? By allowing the submission of illustrations this could open your site to potential art teachers as well as elementary school teachers around the world. Just something to consider.
Community Fun is an excellent resource for students to use and distinguish the different types of communities.
Sara, what I liked most about your site was how easy it was to navigate around your site. The photography selection was stunning and instructive as well. In addition, it was very clear what your project is about. Moreover, your site is more than just a GLP but serves as a 2nd grade resource. It is a very practical GLP as well as a very practical GLP. This is a good thing! Many people will be able to get use from this resource you have created. Perhaps, if you would like I could give you pictures that represent different scenes in Italy. Hopefully, in a year or two I will be going to Ecuador. If you are still doing this project I could send you pictures from there as well.
